The husband and wife comedy team of George Burns and Gracie Allen developed their popular routine over more than three decades of stage, radio, film and television. They were one of the best-known couples in Hollywood history. Burns left most of the laughs to Allen, who had a way of engaging in dialogues of "illogical logic" that left her verbal opponents dazed and confused and her audiences in stitches. Burns, entertainment's most nimble straight man, balanced Allen's scatterbrained antics. Their chemistry made The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show an instant hit when it moved from radio to television in 1950. The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show ran for an amazing 239 episodes on the CBS television network and garnered 12 emmy nominations. The show had several regulars, including Bea Benaderet as neighbor "Blanche Morton." Although, three different actors played Blanche's husband "Harry," Benaderet remained cast as George and Gracie's understanding television neighbor throughout the show's eight-year run. Burns ended every episode with the line "Say goodnight, Gracie" to which Allen simply replied, "Good night, Gracie." Disc 1

Kleebob Card Game
George and Harry try to get out of going to the movies by teaching their wives a confusing card game they invented for that purpose called "Kleebob."

Property Tax Assessor
The county tax assessor pays a visit to the Burns', and Gracie puts a dent in the fender of the car. To keep George from noticing, she tries to convince George that the Burns' and Mortons should walk to a football game rather than drive.

Space Patrol Girls
Trouble starts when Mamie Kelly and her three children park their trailer in the Burns' backyard.

Harry Morton's Male Secretary
When Harry Morton hires a new secretary, Blanche and Gracie suspect that he has hired a beautiful girl.

Beverly Hills Uplift Society
Gracie and her Uplifters Society are locked out of their clubhouse because Gracie forgot to pay the rent.

Bank Account
Gracie returns George's Xmas gifts before he has seen them because he always exchanges them anyway. The banker, Mr. Vanderclip has a talk with the Burns' about Gracie's odd check writing system.

Income Tax Man
The income tax man gets frustrated trying to understand Gracie's tax deductions.

House Guest
Gracie's girlhood friend Mamie Kelly comes to visit, and stays, and stays and stays.

Teenage Girl Spends The Weekend
Emily Vanderclip stays with the Burns' while her parents are out of town and Gracie tries to help her with her schoolwork.

Marriage Bureau
Gracie's wardrobe assistant Jane win a a trip for two to Hawaii and Gracie tries to find her a husband, but Jane is already married.
