When the sadistic cowboys stumble on a small Apache camp and discover a vein of gold ore, they resort to murder; killing the Apaches, men, women and children, leaving only one survivor. The men keep the young woman alive in hopes she will lead them to more gold. Only Pitcalin (Joel McCrea) among the five men shows any remorse or kindness to the prisoner. When an Apache brave discovers the massacre and buries the dead, he begins to track the murderers and brings slow but steady vengeance upon them.
Starring Joel McCrea (Wichita, Ride the High Country), one of the most enduring of all Western actors and an outstanding cast including Robert Tessier, Andy Anza, Dan Kemp, Marie Gahva and Rick Nervick.
