After writing songs for Conway Twitty and Kenny Rogers, Oklahoma native Mel McDaniel got his break in 1976, signing with Capitol Records in Nashville. He had a string of hits, including "Louisiana Saturday Night," "Big Ole Brew," and "I Wish I was In Nashville." His biggest chart success came in 1984 when "Baby's Got Her Blue Jeans On," rocketed to #1 and was nominated for a Grammy and a CMA. One of the most popular regulars on the Opry, Mel brings his 'big ole' talent to this special performance, recorded live at Orlando's Church Street Station.
