This syndicated western takes place in the 1880's, and stars two fine actors, Russell Hayden as Pat Gallagher and jackie Coogan as Stoney Crockett. Russell Hayden is a veteran of many 1950's television shows including Judge Roy Bean. Jackie Coogan was a child actor in the early silent films of the '20 and known for his portrayal of Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer in the movies.
Working as government agents, Pat and Stoney travel from town to town, righting injustices and conquering the antagonist. Although it lasted only one season, Cowboy G-Men explored a new area of the television western genre. Rather than the more traditional stories of individual lawmen fighting crime, "Cowboy G-Men" introduces the federal government into the old west.
"Cowboy G-Men" features a fine supporting cast, including Rick Vallin, Lyle Talbot, Tris Coffin, Morris Ankrum and Tom Monroe.
