Gertrude Berg of 'The Goldbergs' walked away with the award that year, but Betty went on to win the Emmy® five times in the course of a career that has spanned sixty amazing years. Star of television, stage and screen, her credits include The Golden Girls, The Betty White Show, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Boston Legal and "The Bold and the Beautiful."
"Life with Elizabeth" features Betty as the not-so-docile wife of Alvin (Del Moore) living in the suburbs in anything but perfect harmony with their St. Bernard (Stormy) and Pekinese (Bandie) dogs.
Each episode finds Elizabeth faced with hilarious predicaments arising from every-day life, which she handles in her own unique style. Always present (off-camera) is an announcer, Jack Narz, who provides segues from one comic situation to the next, usually three per episode.
