This is the whole story, beginning in the 1930's with Japan's invasion of China and Germany's buildup and Blitzkrieg into neighboring Czechoslovakia and Poland in 1939. As Germany pounded London during the Battle of Britain and Japan's navy swept
unopposed across the Pacific, nations in every corner of the globe were plunged ever deeper into what would become a worldwide conflagration.
America's entry into the war, after the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor in December of 1941, marked a turning point. Ny war's end, 16 million American men and women enlisted in the military
and countless others toiled at home in the fastest military build-up in history. Working with its Allies, America defeated the forces of darkness in Europe and the Pacific in less than four years time, culminating with the fall of Japan and the signing of the peace treaty on the USS Missouri in August of 1945.
As a special bonus, we have included rare newsreel footage of Kamikazes, the Nuremberg Trials and much, much more.
